The truth is that a lot of planning and effort were put in to establish CarbuX and more ongoing work to keep the car wash facilities running smoothly. As part of the overall plan for the company, Andrew Jaffa and his father, Jimmy Jaffa, put two important elements into the business plan that started on the first day of business and continue forward to this day: Running an Eco Friendly Business and Giving Back .
How does CarbuX run an eco friendly business?
As noted by Andrew Jaffa, "CarbuX is proud to boast the most comprehensive recycling plan of any car wash facility in the country. We are committed to being a responsible steward of our environment because it is the most lasting gift for my children and their future.
We are the only car wash in Jacksonville and probably the only one in the country that I have seen that recycles cans and bottles by physically removing them from the trash thrown out by customers.
You would be amazed if you saw the mountains of cans and bottles that we save from the landfill. This program costs us money, but we do it because it is the right thing to do for the environment!"
CarbuX also recycles approximately 80% of the wash water, all cardboards, plastic drums used for chemicals, numerous wooden pallets and other items personally delivered to various local recycling centers. In managing the CarbuX facilities, Andrew puts his business experience and his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Florida to good use.
How does CarbuX Give Back through FUNdraising Efforts?
CarbuX is committed to giving back to the community through its long-standing FUNdraising program, which has donated more than $60,000 for local non-profit organizations since its inception in 2007.
As so aptly said by Andrew, "CarbuX is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Jacksonville through our unique fundraising programs that benefit local non-profit groups in town. I grew up here and I feel passionately that it is my responsibility to do as my parents have always done, and give back to our community through volunteerism and financial giving. I feel fortunate to have found a way to bridge my career with my responsibility to help and support the community where I live and work. "
