Shining Light of Leadership,
Entrepreneurship, and Compassion

Michael Miller (Brightway Insurance)

Greetings!

If you meet Michael Miller just one time, you will quickly see that he is a shining light and example to his co-workers, friends, family, and the community.

Michael moved to Jacksonville, Florida when he was 4 years old and is proud to call Jacksonville his hometown. Along with his brother, David Miller, Michael has helped build a truly wonderful insurance company - Brightway Insurance - that now has franchises in 17 States and services the needs of thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers.

When you ask Michael about his passion, interests, and secrets of success, he will give you the same answer .  . . . "It is all about people and treating them right."  Even with all of the commitments and responsibilities as an executive with Brightway Insurance, Michael has always made it a priority and has always found the time to give back.  Michael points out that:

"People should be measured by the positive difference they can make in the world and not by the amount of belongings they have been able to accumulate.

I feel very fortunate to have been given the skills, drive, and support needed to reach this stage of my life and that it is my duty to help others who are not as fortunate to reach their potential."

Michael is active in a number of community based organizations including the University of North Florida LGBT Resource Center.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the JASMYN (Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network) an organization that provides support and counseling services for lesbian, gay, trans gender, and questioning youth.

Michael serves as a life coach for Opertion New Hope - Ready for Work program.   This organization helps people get re-introduced into society after they have been incarcerated for a non-violent crime. Finally, Michael is a strong supporter of Equality Florida which is a not for profit organization that fights for the equal rights and protection of members of the LGBT community.

If you are looking to get more involved with the community and help Michael support or work with any of the above organizations, please contact Michael at:
