From the Vicar...
The party is just beginning!
Ever since Easter Day, I have heard over and over again how moved people were by the great Easter celebrations here at Christ and Trinity churches. The powerful music, the fragrant lilies, and the moving Eucharists of Easter Vigil and Day all served to shake us up and help us shout out "Alleluia! Christ is risen!" Truly, Easter was a climactic moment.
Yet, as wonderful as Easter Day may have been, we may now be left wondering "Now what?" Where do we go from here? Are things just back to normal? Does the Easter Party stop here?
The good news is that the answer is: NO! Easter is not simply something that we celebrate on one Sunday of the year, but rather a fifty-day festival season whose first day is Easter Day, the Sunday of the Resurrection, and whose last day is the Day of Pentecost. In between there are several milestones along the way, all significant: "Thomas Sunday," the Second Sunday of Easter; "Good Shepherd Sunday," the Fourth Sunday; and, of course, Ascension Day, the Fortieth Day of Easter.
As the Easter Season unfolds, join me in the continuing festival of the Resurrection. The party's not over - it's just beginning!
Fr. Chip
Home communion
The Sacrament of Holy Eucharist is available to any church member at home or in the hospital who desires to receive it. Fr. Chip will be setting aside time during Easter week to make visits. If you find yourself temporarily sick or confined at home or in the hospital and would like communion brought to you, please call the parish office, 603-436-8842 (Christ Church) or 603- 926-5688 (Trinity Church), to set up a convenient time.

Events, Meetings & Announcements
Fr. Chip
Thank you for a great Saturday!
On Saturday, March 23rd our Lenten series, "Finding Our Purpose: Toward a More Deeply Shared Ministry," drew to a close with a joint session drawing together the Bishop's Committees and members of both of our congregations. Many thanks to all who participated, both on Saturday and throughout this process.
At the end of the morning, we appointed a follow-up team with representatives from each church to help us move our plans forward. Our thanks to the following for stepping forward:
Christ Church Trinity Church
Katie Towler (BC representative) Patrice Wood (BC representative) Peter Monte Thelma Hutton Susan Ott Rusty Bridle
The first meeting of our team will be on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30 at Trinity. Our hope is that this group will, over time, produce a draft "Covenant" or "Agreement" defining the boundaries and understandings that underlie our Shared Ministry. The group will also help coordinate the joint Bishop's Committee's efforts in following up on the action items proposed this Lent.
Yearly Calendars
Tiffany's goodbye party at Christ Church
Tiffany Lanoue, Christ Church's office manager, will conclude her work with us this week. On Sunday, April 7, we want to celebrate Tiffany's ministry among us with a special coffee hour after Christ Church's 10:30 service. Please join us as we wish her Godspeed in her new position at Foster's Daily Democrat in Dover.

'Goodsearch' can help us raise money for our ministry
Help raise money for Christ Church Portsmouth or Trinity Church Hampton by using Goodsearch whenever you search the internet, shop online, or dine at select local restaurants.
It's easy!
First go to www.goodshop.com. At the home page, click on "Choose a Cause." This will take you to a screen titled: "Who do you want to help?" Type in the name of your cause - "Christ Episcopal Church - Portsmouth" or "Trinity Church - Hampton." Then create a user profile that will allow you to keep track of your individual amount raised. Goodsearch does the rest. They will send out checks for the combined amount earned by all of our supporters through Goodsearch, Goodshop and Gooddining during their fiscal year of October 1st through September 30th.
There are three primary ways you can earn money: searching the Internet, shopping online and dining out. Additionally, there are two other ways to earn money by completing surveys and special offers. Here's a quick explanation of each of them:
- Goodsearch: Search the Internet with Goodsearch's Yahoo!-powered search engine (just like you'd search on any other search engine), and they'll donate a penny for nearly all searches to your selected cause.
- Goodshop: Shop at one of Goodshop's more than 2,800 participating stores (from Amazon to Zazzle) and a percentage of what you spend will be donated to your cause at no cost to you. Oh, and by the way, there's a big added bonus here too. Goodshop lists more than 100,000 coupons and deals so you could save money while doing good!
- Gooddining: Dine at one of the 10,000 participating restaurants around the country and a percentage of what you spend will go to your cause - again at no cost to you.
- Goodsurveys: When you complete a survey on the online surveys platform, they'll make a donation of about $1 to your cause.
- Goodoffers: When you complete any of their special offers - from watching videos, to participating in market research, to buying a discounted treatment at a favorite local spa Goodoffers will make a donation to your cause.
There are also quick-to-install add-ons that make your use of Goodshop easy: The GoodShop To-Go Button, GoodApp Toolbar and Goodsearch Plug-in all install in less than 30 seconds and help you to earn donations for your favorite cause when you shop and search even when you don't visit Goodsearch first.
From our perspective, it's "free" money - the more we search, shop, and dine, the more money we can earn for our respective churches. If you have any questions or need help getting started, please feel free to contact Kris Ebbeson at kebbeson@metrocast.netor 603-319-4685.
