JUNE 2014
YOUR LETTER FROM HOME
Thanks for staying connected to Fort Lewis College. As you see, our newsletter format has changed substantially. This is to keep up with our alumni & friend's preferences in using mobile devices to view & read content.

Please let us know what you think.

This month's issue includes Fortifact S2E5: Edible Plants of the San Juans, with Katrina Blair, and our biannual Foundation Report, in an all new purely digital format.

Stories from the Report include an update on the construction of our new GPE Building, Spring Graduation 2014, recent faculty and staff award winners, and of course, letters from the President, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fort Lewis College Foundation, The Executive Director, the Director of Alumni Relations, and the Director of Gift Planning.

Due to it's length and formatting, the report is best read on a dedicated desktop rather than mobile. For those who would rather read hard copy, it can be printed out for your later perusal.

Happy Summer!

Our first fully digital issues includes
* A video of the 2014 FLC Graduation
* New graphics for the GPE Building
* ASFLC Leadership goals
* 2014-15 Faculty and Staff Award Winners

And much more! The document is best
viewed on a desktop system.

UPDATE FROM THE FOUNDATION
Margie Deane Gray, Foundation Executive Director

Fort Lewis College continues to grow in exciting ways. Each year our reputation for offering excellent programs in the natural sciences is recognized nationally.  And, each year, the number of students wanting to be part of these outstanding programs continues to grow at a very fast pace...

UPDATE FROM ALUMNI SERVICES
Dave Kerns, Director of Alumni Relations

Alumni events with Fort Lewis College are in a state of parallax. Traditional alumni events are marinated in the tradition and lore of what drew a crowd years ago. By simply replicating these traditional events and trying to change as little as possible we are unable to draw new alumni into the fold...
