Six Summer Time Tips for Travel

1.)  Moisturize

Apply intense moisturizer the night before you are going to travel. This will help increase hydration in your skin before you're exposed to the dehydrating effects of cabin pressure or the rigors of the trip. Be it by plane, bus, train or driving, traveling can take its toll on your appearance. We suggest using one like our Nourishing Body Lotion.

2.) Take Your Cleanser with You

Space is often limited and if you can only take one skin care item from home let it be your cleanser. Changing cleanser abruptly on a trip can disrupt skin's acid balance and cause a vacation breakout, just when you want to look your best.

3.) Get Your Beauty Rest

If you're going to nap on the plane, dab some super-rich night cream around your eyes and wear a sleeping mask. This will help you look fresh, relaxed and well rested upon arrival. Doing so can also help drown out bothersome neighbors and crying babies.

4.) Slather on the Hand Cream

Never leave home without your favorite hand cream stash it in your tote bag, and use it liberally throughout the trip. Keep in mind our hands have a very thin layer of skin and need to be well taken care of. This will not only keep your hands from becoming dry but in the event you do need to wash them, it can help counter the negative effects of harsh commercial-grade soaps found in public restrooms.

5.)  Apply Lip Treatment Liberally

You can further protect your lips by packing a lip treatment with built in sunscreen inside your carry-on bag and using it liberally while traveling. It also works on bus and train rides, when high heat or air conditioning can also cause lips to feel dehydrated. Always look for one with build in SPF 15 like our Lip Moisturizer

6.) Keep Your Hands off Your Face

To minimize breakouts while you're on vacation, avoid touching your skin while you travel. This is a good rule in everyday life as well but especially when trying to look your best while coping with the added stress of traveling.
