Did you know that the Boy Scout Rank requirements are changing on January 1, 2016? That's right. The rank of Scout becomes an official rank with rank requirements. But that is not all. The other Boy Scout rank requirements have changed some as well. Check out all of the details here.
The 2017 National Jamboree is quickly approaching. Dan Beard Council is currently accepting applications to be an adult leader for the contingent. But the application process will be closing soon. Youth attendee and Jamboree staff registration is also both open. Read more

Only through continued service can we ensure that the beautiful and natural areas of the Dan Beard Scout Reservation and Camp Michaels are preserved for future youth. Camp Conservation Days are an great way for boys to earn service hours while working to conserve our camp properties.

If your Scouts didn't get a chance to attend the inaugural DeSTEMber event last year, we have good news! DeSTEMber at Camp Friedlander was so much fun that we decided to do it again. Registration opens on Wednesday, November 4th for the 2nd DeSTEMber event on Saturday, December 12th.
Do your boys love the Shooting Sports? Just can't get enough of the Boom! Bang! and Twang! at the Ranges? Come shoot with us! Cub Packs can use the BB and Archery ranges on weekends, and Troops and Crews can also use the Rifle and Shotgun ranges!
