High Speed Rail Update
CHSRA BAC representative Linden Nishinaga reports:
- New BAC Authority leadership changes include Bob Magnuson as new Co-Chair with Tom Fellenz and the instatement of Scott Jarvis as the Authority's Assistant Chief Program Manager.
- The Rail Delivery Partner (RDP) procurement tender is currently being processed. This is a 7-year/$700 million project delivery-focused contract that will replace the near ending PMT contract. Based on his long experience as a public-sector senior project manager, Linden offered Mr. Jarvis some recommendations including adding the requirement of a much needed CHSR Project PM-type master schedule to the RDP scope of work. Mr. Jarvis replied these recommendations have merit.
- The Authority has released its Project Update Report dated March 1, 2015 to the California State Legislature. Go to www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov for the information. This 52 page report includes current project status updates of the eight Project sections that comprise Phase I, the end points for which are San Francisco on the North and Anaheim on the South..
