AAa/e Announces the 2014-16 Board of Directors
Welcome to new board member Kimberly Tran of Glumac!

After 9 years on the Board of Directors, Mike Okamoto moves on to new horizons.
 
We salute Mike Okamoto, who has tirelessly served on the AAa/e Board of Directors for 9 years as Chair of the Membership, Program, and Business Development Committees.  Under Mike's most recent leadership as the Membership Chair, AAa/e's membership grew by an astounding 42% percent in just 2 years.  In addition to the AAa/e, Mike is an active community leader in the Japanese American community, serving as the SVP and member of the Board of Directors of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of the Little Tokyo Community Council.  He is also a member of the Japan Business Association of Southern California, American Institute of Architects (AIA), and US Green Building Council (USGBC).  After stepping down from the AAa/e Board this year, Mike will be focusing more of his time as the Nisei Week Foundation President of the 74th Nisei Week Festival, which is recognized as one of the longest running ethnic festivals in the United States, first held in 1934. Mike extends an invitation to all AAa/e members to join the festivities in August 2014.

Jacob graduated with Honors from the University of Southampton U.K. in Electrical Engineering. Jacob is a professional Electrical Engineer in 6 U.S. states, certified Power Quality Professional, LEED AP and also is an Accredited Tier Designer for mission critical facilities. Jacob is the Managing Principal at Glumac Los Angeles Office.
