WP Puppet Theatre Gives Back

WP Puppet Theatre is pleased to donate Why the Rabbit's Nose Wiggles to the Mosaic Family Resource Centre, who supports immigrant and refugee families become more active in the community.

This donation will be an incredible opportunity to expose our children to literacy development in a creative and engaging way. Our pre-school operates on the philosophy of learning through play, and WP Puppet Theatre exemplifies this ideal. Showing parents how to engage with children in a way that is sensitive to their stage of development and sensory learning styles will provide them with the skills to ensure a healthy happy childhood. Furthermore many of the families we work with are low-income, an opportunity to watch a puppet show and engage in puppet making is difficult to come by free of cost making this a very exciting event!

- Amal Tharani, Early Childhood Facilitator, Mosaic Family Resource Centre

Why the Rabbit's Nose Wiggles is an interactive story telling experience great for ages 4 and up.  Kids watch the first part of this charming folk tale, then they make their own paper sculpture puppets and finish the story together with everyone's puppets.

Do you know of a non-profit organization that could benefit from this program?  Please contact Wendy Passmore-Godfrey to find out how you can get this interactive show donated: admin@wppuppet.com or 403 228 3373

Discovering the World of Puppets

Hello, I'm Sandra Neill, the new Marketing & Communications Coordinator for WPTS.  I'm excited to explore the world of puppetry and will be sharing my finds with you.  I was reflecting back on some of my own experiences with puppets and remembered how much my son loved a puppet show we saw on the streets of Arles, France.  At one point he was even dancing with the marionette.

Check out these street puppet performances from around the world:
