As I have worked on Puppet Power 2013 I am amazed at the inspiring stories from our speakers and the sharing spirit of their talents.

I don't want anyone to miss the chance to attend and find out how puppetry can be used to fearlessly face the issues of today's world. From peace education to surviving cancer. There is lots to face.

We are inviting to the RIG Session (Rapid Idea Generation) from 2:15 - 4:00 pm on March 9th.

At this session, celebrated puppeteers, including Martin Robinson of Sesame Workshop and Rochi and Dina from Puppeteers Without Borders will demonstrate how an effective puppet program can be created to support the programs of our selected organizations - The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta and Stardale Women's Group Inc.

Saturday: Keynotes and presentations on using puppetry to address a wide variety of social issues from transmission of family violence to peace education and community building. Keynote speaker Martin Robinson from Sesame International, a (powered by) Pecha Kucha and some mini hands on workshops.

Excellent for Fine Arts and CTS students.

SUNDAY: Five Master classes on performance, manipulation, design and construction of puppets, including Puppetry for Television with Mr. Robinson, Creating Giant puppets with acclaimed theatre designer Catherine Hahn and Shadow Puppetry intensive with Lynn Jeffries.
