DID YOU KNOW?

Federal Tax Form Update
The federal government has drastically reduced the tax products available for distribution in public libraries this year. We expect our federal tax forms to arrive by mid-February. When they arrive, the only forms available at the Library will be the 1040, 1040-A, and 1040-EZ. We will not be receiving any instruction booklets or schedules.

There are several other ways to easily obtain these items from the government:

*  All forms and instructions can be printed from the IRS website. You may print them from our library computers for $0.15 per page.
*  You may request that the IRS mail forms to you free of charge by visiting the IRS website and clicking on the forms and publications tab. It takes approximately 7-14 business days for the forms to arrive.
*  You may request that forms be mailed to you free of charge by contacting the IRS via phone at 1-800-829-3676. Again, you may expect your forms to arrive in about 7-14 business days.

The library will have state tax forms as usual. If you have questions about obtaining tax forms, please contact the Reference Desk at 262-524-3682.
