Spend, Save and Borrow Wisely
Everyone needs to know how to spend, save, and borrow money wisely to achieve their financial goals. During Money Smart Week (April 5-12), Waukesha Public Library will host three events to help you achieve your financial goals! You can attend one or all three!
- Couponing 101: Saturday, April 5, 1:00 p.m.
- Avoiding Scams and Schemes: Tuesday, April 8, 3:00 p.m.
- Retirementology: Thursday, April 10, 6:00 p.m.

Extreme South Pole ScienceTuesday, April 8, 7:00 p.m. IceCube, the biggest and strangest telescope in the world, was built in one of the most remote and extreme environments on Earth: the South Pole. Learn how IceCube explores the U niverse through the use of mysterious cosmic messengers (neutrinos). The program is hosted by the Wisconsin IceCube Particle Astrophysics Center (WIPAC) with support from the Ira and Ineva Reilly Baldwin Wisconsin Idea Endowment. Refreshments will be provided.  You can learn a new language or brush up on one you learned years ago with the Library's new language-learning resource. Transparent Language Online is available FREE to Waukesha Public Library users. This web-based program covers 80+ languages, including English as a Second Language. You can access the courses on your own computer. There is even a mobile app to continue lessons "on the go" via your smart phone. Great for language learners of all levels, this program offers top-of-the-line coursework combined with great additional resources such as a web-based flash card system, personal progress tracking, pronunciation analysis, language & cultural resources, and much more. Main Street, Waukesha) will be serving up specially designed, delicious artisan truffles, with a portion of the proceeds coming back to the Friends group.
