So far this summer, more than 1,000 children and caregivers have visited Waukesha Public Library with their daycare or other summer activity program and another 1,000 were reached through our Stories in the Park programs. We are so thankful for these teachers and program coordinators that recognize the importance of reading all year long!
Staff enjoyed receiving this poem written by Ms. Jeanette Bartnikowski and her class of 3-5 year-olds from Fox River Church Vacation Bible School.
We Are Thankful
We are thankful for the library
In many different ways We are thankful for the playground For it allows us to run and play
We are thankful for the librarians For helping us to grow and learn
We are thankful for the storytimes And all the prizes that we earn We are thankful for all the nooks That let us sit and read our books We are thankful for the movies And the music that helps us be groovy We are thankful for the library In all these different ways We all just had to shout Hip Hip Hooray!

A heart-felt thanks to all of the volunteers who made our Friends' membership drives such a success this year!
We can't thank the Friends of Waukesha Public Library enough for their financial support which helped make our summer reading programs flourish
