Waukesha Public Library Offers Exhibit Space
to Local Artists
Waukesha Public Library showcases
two-dimensional art on its first  floor gallery wall. The exhibit space is offered free of charge to local artists and the artwork is displayed on a rotating schedule. These displays are intended to complement the Library's permanent art collection which is on display throughout the Library's first floor.
The current exhibit schedule includes:
June and July 2013 - Bob Kirsten
August and September 2013 - Thomas J. Kiehl, Jr.
October and November 2013 - Elizabeth Strehlow
December 2013 and January 2014 - Holly Paulsen
The collection is coordinated by the Library's Public Art Committee. Applications are available at the Reference Desk and on the Library's website. If you are interested in exhibiting your work, please contact Joan Quinlan, Administrative Assistant, or call 262-524-3694.

The Library offers eBook workshops to help you use the OverDrive service, plus tips and tricks for downloading eBooks. The workshops include demonstrations on using NOOK, Kindle and iPad, and time for Q&A. Registration is required and you can register at the Reference Desk or by calling 262-524-3682.

Wisconsin young adult author, Ilsa J. Bick will be at the Library answering questions about her life and work, and signing books! Enter a raffle the day of the event and you could win one of her books! Attending teens will receive 5 extra entries for the end of summer grand prize drawing!
Spangles & Spokes

Decorate your bike (or wagon, or stroller) for the big parade on the fourth! Deck out those spokes and handlebars with crepe paper and decorations that we provide. Meet in Cutler Park.

The Wisconsin Talking Book and Braille Library (WTBBL) provides Braille and recorded books and players free of charge, along with free postage, to anyone with any type of vision or physical limitations that prevents them from reading normal print or comfortably holding a book. In addition, they provide descriptive videos and DVDs and free subscriptions to 60 magazines and 300 newspapers from across the nation.
