Interested in learning more about Waukesha's History? Check out Waukesha County History 1870-1920, a digital collection highlighting historic Waukesha County. A variety of historic materials from Waukesha Public Library and Waukesha County Historical Society were selected for digitization. A hand-written diary brings to life the daily challenges and joys of a young woman living in Mukwonago in 1869. Atlases, directories and historic books outline the people and places of Waukesha County. Waukesha County Historical Society generously shared hundreds of photographs from several archival collections to highlight the history of Waukesha springs, illustrate street scenes, and document the industrial and agricultural heritage of our county.

The annual Library Volunteer Luncheon was held on April 25. Good food and a riveting portrayal of Eleanor Roosevelt by Jessica Michna highlighted the day. This event is a wonderful way to honor our library volunteers, including the Board of Trustees and Friends of the Library volunteers, for their time and efforts throughout the year.
Thank you all for sharing your time and talents. Volunteers make a difference in our community! |
