An Easier Way to Reach Design Closure for SoC
It's really challenging to reach design closure of an SoC by meeting timing constraints, staying within the power budget, tracking progress, communicating within the team, minimizing the floorplan, maximizing manufacturability and eliminating hotspots. Most SoC design teams have EDA tools from multiple vendors, and yet no single vendor has figured out a simple way to accomplish all of these objectives in an automated tool flow. These multiple challenges can be addressed, and in fact one company in particular has an EDA tool that does work with multiple point tools to distill data and analytics into design information. That company is Dassault Systèmes, and their EDA tool is called ENOVIA Pinpoint.

Exporting Notes From a ProjectSync DataBase

A few weeks ago I mentioned I would provide a way to export notes from ProjectSync. Note that there is an "Out Of The Box" way to do it, which is thus officially supported, however the export format is not really "human readable" and editable.

New Features for Semiconductor in 3DExperience Platform R2015X

Last week I published a set of presentations on New Features in DesignSync R2015X, this week you will find presentations on a set of features added for the Semiconductor Industry to the 3DEXPERIENCE ® Platform R2015X. Five of those presentations focus on the "Developments", a feature that directly ties in DesignSync and, in summary, allows control of the roll-out of DesignSync versions, DesignSync Settings and DesignSync "Projects" and the tools required by those Projects, into the whole company, all from the "3DEXPERIENCE® platform".
