Finding Fish Fast

The Lake Erie Walleye School was a success in spite of the weather. Erie is easy to find fish driving fast which is important since the walleyes are in schools. You need to locate fish in water where you can see the cavitation plate on your motor. Most of the water was too dirty from the wind but we found some fish in clearer water and bingo a pig was caught on a the only Ripstick we used while most were caught on Deep Husky Jerks. The other boats in class also caught fish with one boat catching 4 and we only fished a few hours. One boat caught a 10+ lb walleye.

We had many seminars and a boat rigging session. I found many items to improve and worked on a few transducers.

Next Walleye School is at Chamberlain SD in 10 days on the Missouri River April 26-28.

 HDS Touch DVD

I finally finished the HDS Touch DVD. Next is the Elite 7 model and then the Touch Advanced DVD.

You will have to be patients since I have to do some on the water testing (fishing)!!!

DrDepth mapping software is sold

Bad news for anyone on the fence thinking of purchasing DrDepth. Per Pelin the owner has sold the product to an unknown buyer and no details are available.

DrDepth can no longer be purchased or upgraded.

The DrDepth site is still active for users to log in to update to the latest version and move the license to new computers if their computer fails.

It was a good run and I thank Per Pelin for his amazing creation that has benefited many people. If you want to create your own maps the Lowrance Insight Genesis is your best option.

 2013 boat rigging progress.

I don't have all my electronics yet but I will do a review of the HDS Wi-Fi Go-Free, underwater camera viewing on the Touch 9, Point-1 heading sensor, the new Gen2 software pending release which has many good features and any new products released.
I am excited to test the Minn Kota Talon this year, I am a walleye angler but I fish were shallow bass live......
