After Work Pot Roast Dinner
After-Work Pot Roast Dinner

After a long day, there's no better way to relax and shake-off the cold with a little hearthside warmth and hearty flavor. Our After-Work Pot Roast Dinner will be ready and waiting when you walk in the door. Fork-tender pot roast meets black beans, corn and salsa in Southwest Beef Pot Roast. Or you can switch it up, including ingredients from across the globe (Italy, that is) with our Palermo Pot Roast and Peppers with Polenta. Follow our pot roast/braising guide for guaranteed-delicious results no matter what roast or ingredients you choose!

Let them eat stew! You know, because it's hearty, delicious, lean and pretty darn easy to make.  Stew up a pot of tastiness with Italian Beef and Bean Stew. This stew features sun-dried tomatoes and pesto. And it's nothing like any other stew we've had.  Moroccan Beef and Sweet Potato Stew packs a flavor punch with cumin and raisins. Served over fluffy couscous and garnished with toasted almonds, the mix of textures and flavors will convince the family you've secretly been taking cooking classes!  Find more Soups, Stews and Chili recipes here.

National Sandwich Month: For Health,

Convenience and Taste

November is National Sandwich Month and we love the idea of giving your standard sandwich a boost with beef. We've gathered some useful tips for creating a healthy, portable meal that's big on taste and satisfaction.

Beef & Vegetable Steak Sandwich

Take for example, the Philly Cheese Steak. It's a classic that can sometimes be an indulgence. We've created a Beef and Vegetable Cheese Steak Sandwich that uses leftover Tri-Tip steak (a lean cut!) and a healthy dose of vegetables. It still includes a beloved schmear of gooey cheese, but cuts down on calories and fat.

If you've got to eat on the run, then you know the sandwich can be your portable friend! Make a quick Beef and Spinach Breakfast Sandwich with steak strips leftover from last night's dinner and you've got a meal ready to be consumed anywhere you may take it.

Lastly, we know that the sandwich is often the king of the lunch pail for school children. When you include beef, you're giving your child's day a boost with protein. In fact, one 3 oz. serving of beef provides nearly half of the daily recommended value for protein. Talk about packing a healthy meal! For more school meal ideas, including snacks, view our tip sheet and consider recipes like kid-friendly R.B.V. Wraps.
