I trust and pray that the new year is finding you well! It is wonderful to be a pastor at Chilliwack Alliance Church, thank you for your ongoing love and support through the years.
I write this just after coming off the busiest time in the church's calendar. This is most definitely true in the area of worship. Although it has been busy, I sit here at my desk with a thankful heart for all of the incredible people I have the joy to serve with from week to week and those who help with the large events - thank you all!
The Five Corners Christmas production was a wonderful success. Praise God with me for all of those who served, the large increase in attendance, and the many who heard the message of the Gospel, some for the first time.
Please keep our Easter services in your prayers as well.....Good Friday and the Sunday morning services. This year, instead of two services in the main, both the main house and video café will hold services at our usual 10:30 am service time. The Sunday morning services will feature the choir, soloists, and baptisms. What a great way to celebrate the resurrection of Christ as witnessed by those with changed lives entering the waters of baptism! It will be a great opportunity to invite others to attend.
May we continue to place God in the centre of all we do as a church body. Let us lean on Him for wisdom and direction in the new year and the years to come.
Pastor Greg

Equipping at CAC
Calling all Care Group leaders and Visitation volunteers!
On February 6th, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, CAC is hosting a training time specifically for you at Camp Stillwood. Lunch and refreshments are provided,
as are expert presenters who are being brought in to equip you to grow in your
area of service and ministry at CAC.
Please RSVP to Pastor Matt at the church office by February 3rd.
Mentoring at CAC
The concept of mentoring is ages old, and has been used over years both inside and outside of the church as people have shown others how to parent, or work a trade, or grow deeper in their relationship with God. At CAC, we are exploring the possibility of expanding a spiritual mentoring ministry, and if you would like to be involved, please contact Pastor Matt at the church office.

February is Missions Month here at CAC!
We have lots to celebrate, because God is at work and
many of our people are involved both locally and globally!
Here are a few things to look forward to:
Feb 7th is our opening Sunday. Come on in and see a bunch of folk in the foyer representing the different ministries they are engaged in. Stop by and ask some questions, listen to some stories. You will be encouraged. We also will have a photo display of impacting moments some of our folks have had with the Lord -photos depicting ways He has been seen at work in a particular place, and in the lives of the individual sharing their photo. Come read their stories! And finally, we will have the "Pin Where You've Been" board out because it is time for an update! Great things to celebrate!!
Feb 14th - This is our Poland Sunday. We will hear a bit from the Orr's and how they are doing, as well as the kinds of ministry they are involved in. We have covenanted to be their church, so it will be a good time to hear from them and learn how we can continue to pray for them!
Feb 21st is our Quebec Sunday!!! We are looking for our Quebec connection to make an appearance through a video and see some friends who spent some time with us this past summer. We have such a great and unique relationship with this church and God is using this relationship to teach both sides how to work together, serve together, and spur each other on! This is good stuff friends!
Feb 28th is our Peru Sunday. We will have a video from our friends at AIDIA, as well as some stories and reporting from the branch leader, Chris Denis. This church has been incredibly generous and on board with our commitment to the development of their training regarding Pastoral Leadership development and Children's and Youth Education departments. This is serious Kingdom business!!
Can't wait to see you there!! Pastor Holly

Very often, we are not familiar with so many of the different ministries that are conducted by lay persons of the church, without anyone really realizing that such a ministry is even going on.
Likely many of us are not familiar with the ministry of M2W2. This ministry with its local headquarters in Abbotsford, is a national ministry, that ministers spiritually to men and women who have been incarcerated into our local prisons. Would you believe that we have several from CAC that are involved in mentoring, counselling, and ministering to our local prisons, and through its restorative program?
At Oasis on Sunday, February 28th, 6:30 pm...
we will be featuring Ministry Director Raymond Robyn (Abbotsford) & staff...
including some members of our own congregation. Hear all about their N.O.L.A.
(No One Leaves Alone) restorative support program..and hear the testimonies of some who have been reintegrated into society. There are also opportunities
for you, as Christians to become involved in this program. See you on Sunday, February 28th at Oasis.
