Will we have a S.T.E.M-competent workforce? |
|
Greetings!
Careers in math and science are growing rapidly here in Central Florida. If you take a look around you can see the new Nemours Children's Hospital, Lake Nona Medical Center, bank branches, energy companies, not to mention, social media. All these industries are powered by S.T.E.M. in some way.
We invite you to our 3rd annual State of Early Care and Education breakfast forum where we will discuss what businesses are currently doing to grow a more qualified workforce.
Panelist include:
- Dr. Barbara Bowman, author and co-founder, Erikson Institute; former NAEYC president
- Eva Blum, senior vice president PNC & board chairwoman and president of the PNC Bank Foundation
- Mark Hayes, program director education, Lake Nona Institute
- Jeff Day, meteorologist, Central Florida News 13, (moderator)
The jobs are coming but will our children be ready for them? Join us at this breakfast to make sure we start early!
Sincerely,
Karen Willis, CEO
