Greetings!

We would love for you to encourage the parents of your students to participate in the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy's letter writing contest for fathers. 

"Devotedly Dad" letter contest is open to America's fathers and grandfathers as an opportunity to encourage a love of reading and writing in their homes. Dads are asked to write a letter to a child or grandchild about the importance of literacy and learning.  Dads are encouraged to write from the heart, the head or the funny bone and simply sign it ... "Devotedly, Dad." 

Contest Rules:

• Original letters (no more than 800 words) must be submitted by fathers or grandfathers
• Submit letter via online form below
• Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013
• We're looking for letter writers across America - we'll select our two favorite letters per state
• Winners will be notified by email on Father's Day, June 16, 2013. Select letters will be featured on the Barbara Bush Foundation website @ www.BarbaraBushFoundation.com
• All entries, upon the sole discretion of the Barbara Bush Foundation, may be published in full or excerpt form, online or in print/broadcast form via the Barbara Bush Foundation, news organizations or other publications
