 Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!

Are you ready to "Take the Lead and Read" and celebrate literacy? All week, from January 14-18, Voluntary PreKindergarten students all around the state will celebrate the joy of reading while trying to reach the goal of one million minutes read.
 Attached is an event newsletter, as well as, activities designed for you to use for the simultaneous reading activity of the book titled "Hot Rod Hamster" by Cynthia Lord.
The simultaneous reading of Hot Rod Hamster is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2013 and will begin at 9:30 a.m.
We're trying to reach one million minutes, so don't forget to track the number of minutes your students have read throughout the week. Send us the completed tracking form by Friday, January 25 to be included in the statewide total.
