"Ensuring all Orange County children enter school ready to learn" |
Greetings!
According to the Florida Chamber of Commerce's Florida Scoreboard, there were more than 33,000 jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) that needed to be filled in April 2011. There are expected to be nearly four times as many jobs in these fields by 2018 in Florida.
In 2018, the Class of 2026 will be in 5th grade; an age when most children have already lost interest in math and science. How can we encourage continued interest in STEM?
Join us for the 3rd annual State of Early Care and Education breakfast forum as we discuss the very topic of math and science and how our business community can ensure a qualified, STEM-competent workforce in the future.
See you soon,
