Marquette Catholic High School Raises Funds and Awareness for Breast Cancer
Michigan City, Indiana - October 7, 2016 - On October 7, 2016 Marquette Catholic High School students raised almost $1,000 for Breast Cancer awareness and research through the American Cancer Society's Lee National Denim Day.
Students made a minimum contribution of $5. In return, as a thank you for their generosity, students were able to wear jeans to school, instead of their school uniform. Most opted for pink tops as an outward sign of their support in the fight against breast cancer.
Mr. James White, Principal states, "MQT students always come when called. They are some of the most generous and thoughtful people I know. Breast Cancer is not far away from any of us. Anything we can do to help, even just a little bit, makes a difference. I am proud of what they accomplished today."
