Cheetah Pit BBQ A Success
The evening was a huge success, raising funds for the GCIT Career-Technical Student Organizations and School Based Youth Services endeavors. Thanks to everyone who contributed baskets and prizes, purchased tickets, created the artwork and table centerpieces, helped to set up and decorate, organized the event, volunteered their time to assist, and provided much needed support along the way. The biggest thanks of all goes to our students, who continue to show us what they are truly made of at events such as this. They cooked the food, made the desserts, served the meals, welcomed and entertained the guests, and helped to coordinate the entire evening. It takes an enormous amount of talent and teamwork to make a night like this successful.

International Thespian Society
| The School of Performing Arts Drama students, who are part of the International Thespian Society, participated in the Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat food drive. They unselfishly reached out to neighbors who needed a hand and helped make a difference in our community and state. This year, over 333 Thespian Troupes from 41 states participated in the TOTS-EAT campaign. Their collections totaled more than 390,000 pounds (195 tons!) That's a real testimony about the compassion and character of the theatre community. It demonstrates the positive impact Thespians can have on society in addition to the value of their theatre work. Please click here to see all the totals and this year's award winners. |
