Defeats Sussex Tech 5-0

The GCIT baseball team brought home its third straight NJTAC tournament, defeating Sussex Tech 5-0 on May 30th.

Jake Danner pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout. "Jake came out and threw strikes," said head coach John Marcucci. "The pitching was real good. The defense made no errors. We just kept the game moving."

"The seniors got their 50th win today of their career." said Marcucci. "Zack Funk and Chris Gilcrest were here when the tide turned, so to speak. Mike Macaluso has done a great job for the last three years. This was a great way to see them go out. We didn't have the start of the season we wanted but this was nice. It was a fun game and the kids enjoyed themselves."
