Fort Pierce ~ Stars Over St. Lucie ~ A 4th of July Celebration
Friday, July 4th @ 3pm - 11pm Marina Square, Downtown Fort Pierce
Live Music from: Category 5 & the Storm Horns, 3-6 pm, The People Upstairs, 7-11 pm, DJ Jeff Brown. Fireworks display starts at 9pm. Come by boat and watch from the Indian River Lagoon.
Sebastian Freedom Festival
The City of Sebastian and the Sebastian Lions Club are planning a day of fun for the entire community.
The 42nd Annual 4th of July Parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Sebastian Community Center and the Sebastian Masonic Lodge at 1805 Jackson Street proceeding East on Davis Street and South on Indian River Drive to Riverview Park. There will be crafters, food, beer and live entertainment in the park all day long then a firework show at sunset. Some of the festivities include a 5k run/walk, an apple pie baking contest, watermelon eating contest, karaoke contest and much more. It's a great view from your boat or along the Riverfront.

 KID FRIENDLY OR ADULT COCKTAIL
I found this refreshing summer cocktail on a blog called celebrating everyday life and thought I would share it with you in time for the 4th. It's a festive cocktail that can be served as an adult beverage or kid friendly. Both will surely ENJOY!
Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons (2 ounces) Grenadine
- 6 Tablespoons (3 ounces) Orange Juice/Pineapple Juice blend
- 6 Tablespoons (3 ounces) Sparkling White Wine or Ginger Ale
- slice of watermelon for garnish
Instructions - Make sure all juices are super cold and refreshing!
- Pour grenadine, OJ/Pineapple juice blend and white wine or ginger ale into glass.
- Slice a piece of watermelon and cut out with a small star shaped cookie cutter to garnish your glass.
- Serve immediately.

 SUPER EASY PULLED PORK BBQ
2-5 pound Boneless Pork Roast
12 oz bottle or can of Root Beer
18 oz BBQ Sauce
Place Boneless Pork Roast into Slow Cooker.
Pour 12oz Root Beer over meat.
Cover and cook on Low for 7 hours, This can differ depending on age and type of slow cooker.
Take 2 forks and shred the pork. It should fall apart easily.
Add in 3/4 - 1 cup BBQ and Seasoning (optional) and let sit on Low for an additional Hour.
Serve on fresh buns.
Add more BBQ to Taste. |
