Harvest Food & Outreach Center brings you the 7th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot Against Hunger This is a 5K sanctioned race for runners and walk that includes a free sweet potato pancake breakfast for participants, family and friends. First 1,000 participants to pick up registration packages include registration bag including t-shirt and other surprises provided by our sponsors. All registrants receive timing chip and identification number. "Entrants wanted for McKee Botanical Garden's Build-Your-Own LEGO Brick Creation Competition": Aspiring builders of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in McKee Botanical Garden's Build-Your-Own LEGOŽ Brick Creation Competition. The competition is being held in conjunction with McKee's Nature Connects sculpture exhibition on display at the Garden beginning January 2015. There is no cost to enter the competition and the deadline for registration is December 15. The Tree of Lights plays a dual role as it heralds in the holidays while at the same time raises money for worthwhile projects through donations ranging from $5 to $500 toward a light for the tree. The term "Prism" is symbolic of what happens when a single ray of light hits a glass prism and reflects in multiple beautiful individual color bands. The Prism Concert is an opportunity to enjoy small groups and individual presentations of music and dance. Many of our student acts contain festive themes and comedy, making the night especially fun and entertaining, and will certainly fill you with the holiday spirit. The shows Grand Finale of the full chorus followed by the Drum Line and the entire 250 member Marching Sharks Band traditionally brings the entire audience to their feet, clapping and smiling! The Prism Concert is Sebastian River High School Music Department's largest fundraising event of the year. The 2-hour concert showcases the talents of the Concert Bands, Jazz Band, the Flag and Dance Line and the SRHS Choral Program. The Prism Concert is traditionally held the first week of December.
