If you have any thoughts on gifts, recipes, baking, decorating, shipping or anything to help make the holidays a little less stressful, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us. Just let us know whether we may use your name or rather you prefer to remain anonymous. Stay Merry FLASHERS and PLEASE send us any holiday ideas! ARE YOU AT RISK FOR SHINGLES?
Even if you are healthy, you can still get Shingles, a painful blistering rash. The Shingles rash can last up to 30 days, and many people experience a deep, penetrating pain. Most commonly, the Shingles rash forms in a band around one side of the torso, but can develop in other areas. Often, it forms on one side of the neck, back, or face. It can also attack the eye and the ear, possibly causing vision and hearing loss. Anyone who has had chicken pox can get Shingles because the virus stays in your body. After the age of 60, you are especially vulnerable because your immune system can weaken as you age. Talk to your health care professional about the Shingles vaccine. It may not be covered by your health insurance, but according to people who have been affected, it's worth the expense! The National Institute of Health has more details. Click here.

FLASH BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK Sponsored by: Center for Facial Aesthetics
Are These Goose Bumps?
If you have rough bumps on your legs or arms that resemble goose bumps you may have Keratosis Pilaris. Keratosis Pilaris is aesthetically displeasing, but medically harmless it's caused by excess skin cells build up around individual hair follicles. Sometimes, a hair is unable to reach the surface and becomes trapped beneath the debris causing minute, rough textured bumps. Keratosis Pilaris are mostly along the upper arms and thighs. Treatment is all about smoothing away those little bumps. Using the correct skincare can improve the texture, and eliminating the plugs, and improving the overall appearance of your skin. Products with Glycolic Acid, Fruit Enzymes, and salicylic acids can help to remove the excess skin build up.
Try This: Using Image Body Spa Exfoliating Body Scrub and followed by Clear Cell Salicylic Wipes is an excellent way to remove excess skin cell build up. The results are soft smooth skin!

DID YOU KNOW?
THE EARLY BIRD REALLY DOES GET THE WORM!
Studies show early risers are more proactive and more productive. They're also more likely to be top performers and enjoy greater financial success. University of Heidelberg biology professor Christoph Randler notes that early risers tend to have a good idea of what they want to accomplish. His research shows that, while evening people may be more creative and in some cases smarter than morning risers, they're "out of sync." Early birds, he noted in a 2010 Harvard Business Review article, "hold the important cards.

The more than 50 images in the exhibition plumb the depth of National Geographic's image collection to highlight the loveliest and most appealing photographs from this impressive archive. The result is an experience of visual delight, centering on stunning landscapes and quaint locales. The exhibition makes one ponder what creates beauty in a photograph, and illustrates the power of these images to "lift us out of a jaded world and make us gasp."
