LAST POLO MATCH OF THE SEASON
THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 7TH

The Vero Beach Polo Season is coming to a close this Sunday! This is your last chance to enjoy this fun event that is in our own backyard.  The tailgate time is an event in and of itself. Bring chairs, picnic, and a radio so you can tune in to hear the exciting play by play announcement as the horses and riders come thundering past your field-side tailgate space. Dress casually and for the weather....there are often "polo winds" across the huge field making the temperature a bit chilly. Everyone enjoys the traditional "divot stomping" at half time....so flat shoes are recommended! The gate opens at 1 and the match starts at 2.  If  you don't want to rush to get a tailgate space you can always reserve one ahead for $50 and that would include up to 6 people in the total cost.....just call 778-2224 Monday through Friday.  If it rains or the fields are too wet from a previous rain for safety, there will be a recording when you call (772) 778-2224 after 10 a.m. on Sunday to alert you to a cancellation.
SUPPORT TREASURE COAST COMMUNITY HEALTH

Money raised supports Treasure Coast  Community Health's Women's Health Care Safety Net Fund to pay for pap smears,  mammograms and needle biopsies for women in need. Adopt a $5 duck online!

FLASH WEEKEND PROJECT
Steppin' Out with some fun Stepping Stones!

Spring is in the air and that means that time outside is to be enjoyed. Grow a garden, create a path, be creative! Pictured here is a unique stepping stone that is super simple to make. What a fun statement too! First paint the entire stone one color. Make sure to set down newspaper or some other covering first. Next, carefully tape a doily onto the stone, without covering obvious cut out areas where you will want the paint to show through. You can purchase doilies in various shapes including: circles, squares and rectangles. The last step is to spray paint the stone with the doily attached. Choose any complimentary color you'd like. Once the paint dries, you can paint on a coat of varnish in whatever sheen you like. I love the Minwax varnish!

FLASH BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK

What is Glycolic Acid and Where Does it Come From

Glycolic acid is a natural ingredient derived from sugar cane, though it is now often made synthetically. It falls into the set of ingredients called AHA's, or alpha hydroxy acids. There are five ingredients that fall into the AHA category, glycolic (sugar cane), lactic (milk), citric (oranges and lemons), malic (apples and pears) and tartaric acids (grapes).

Glycolic acid is probably the most common alpha hydroxy acid and has the reputation of being one of
the safest forms of alpha hydroxy acid.

What Does Glycolic Acid Do for my Skin?

Glycolic Acid is an exfoliator. It safely removes the outer layer of dead skin cells on the surface of your skin and brings fresh new skin to the surface. This is beneficial for those who are looking for ingredients that help with anti-aging. Glycolic acid can also help lighten discoloration of the skin, such as sun spots or age spots and help those with acne-prone and blackhead-prone skin.

Glycolic Acid Daily Products

Glycolic Acid comes in many different products: facial cleansers, serums, moisturizers, eye creams and face peels.

THE IMPORTANCE OF COLOR
Spring is here and that means that many of you will be sprucing up your home. Some might do so with the idea of putting it on the market while others just need to check some things off the spring cleaning list. Whatever the reason, there is little doubt that painting is something that will find its way towards the top of both lists. Undoubtedly color is a very personal thing. It's also a vital factor in that all important first impression. Color speaks volumes. Here is a site that has a plethora of information on color including: What is your color personality, which palette is right for you, color ideas and tips, advice from experts and more.
