Dear FLASHERS, Only 3 more days until the "Battle of the Brothers," - formerly known as the Super Bowl. The face-off between Baltimore Coach John Harbaugh and his brother San Francisco Coach Jim Harbaugh is gaining as much press as the game itself. (Makes you wonder who Mom is rooting for, doesn't it? I only know that I wouldn't want to be in her shoes!) This is taking sibling rivalry to a whole new level. Anyway, it makes it just that much more fun to watch. Of course, even if you don't like football, the commercials make it worth watching. They're what folks will be talking about around the water-cooler on Monday. In this issue, you'll find the TV schedule along with some ideas for a Super Bowl party. And as we head into February, our season is in full swing. If you find the issue lengthy, it's because there's so much going on to tell you about. Enjoy! Valerie Watkins Publisher

MARTHA LEMASTERS
IS A POSITIVE PERSON
FLASH is thrilled to spotlight Martha Lemasters as this week's Positive Person! Boy is Vero fortunate that she decided to call our community home 17 years ago. Martha used to be an avid golfer and tennis player. However, she eased up on that ten years ago when she redirected her time to volunteer in our community. Martha expressed that there is a great sense of fulfillment when you can feel and see the impact you can have on individuals, as well as an entire community. It truly culminates in spiritual self-worth.
Martha has served on the Executive Committee for IMPACT 100 for the past three years. She mentioned that she considers this to be one of her great- est accomplishments. For those of you who know about IMPACT 100, you know what a blessing this group of women has been to our community. IMPACT 100 is currently hosting informational 'Afternoon Teas' and the community is invited. (Please see post below) Martha also served as Victim Advocate for the State Attorney's Office for six years and did dual duty devoting many hours to produce their fundraiser. She also chaired/hosted the end of the year musical for John's Island for ten years and has been a 1st Reader for the Christian Science Church for three years, a position that is quite an honor and elected by its members.
As a mother to three grown daughters, Martha's role as a 'Mother' is never-ending. She is inspired by her children and strives everyday to set an example for them and works to accomplish this by showing love for her fellow man, giving back, and conducting her life with dignity. When asked what advice she would give to others, Martha responded with; "The quality of your thinking will determine the quality of your life." I LOVE THAT!
An interesting fact about Martha is that she was a member of the IBM launch team for the Apollo Program and in charge of the PR. WOW! Imagine what an incredibly exciting time that was to be a part of such a powerful and thrilling moment in our country's history! Martha enjoys watching tennis and golf on TV and is a die-hard GATOR FAN! Martha...FLASH is a MARTHA FAN and we sincerely thank you for all you have contributed to our community. You are definitely a Positive Person in every sense of the term! THANK YOU!

FLASH BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK Sponsored by:
Lift Your Skin to a New Level of Health
A chemical peel is a facial technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel away. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Thus the term chemical peel is derived. 3 Tier Peeling Phase - Just as you cannot run a marathon before you can run a block; you shouldn't jump into an advanced chemical peel before you have prepared the skin with more superficial treatments. 01 Superficial Peeling - Relaxing, rejuvenating and restoring. Utilizes enzymes and vitamins to gently remove the outer level of dead skin cells. Cleanses and nourishes 02 Moderate Peeling - designed for tightening, lightening and brightening. glycolic, salicylic or lactic acids to promote the removal of dead skin cells, leaving skin firmer, healthier and brighter. May result in initial redness and 3-5 days of flaking or peeling.
03 Advanced Peeling - designed for advanced results. Utilizes strongest ingredients, low pH for deeper penetration and affects the skin at the cellular level. Aggressively
treats aging and sun-damaged skin and roughly textured skin. Must be followed up with prescribed home care products. Results in initial redness and peeling for 5-7 days.
Ask your skincare professional for more information on chemical peeling or call us for a free skin analysis and consultation.
