Join Team Laps for Literacy

Literacy DuPage is taking part in two area races this year and we want you to join our team!
Your participation will help raise awareness about our work while raising funds to help empower more adults, families and communities through literacy.
Email or call Sang Lee at slee@literacydupage.org or (630) 416-6699 to let him know you are joining the Laps for Literacy team for either race.

Human Race - April 30
Giving DuPage is hosting the fifth annual Human Race on Saturday, April 30, in Downers Grove. Before March 1st, registration costs $35 for the 5K run and $30 for the 2-mile fitness walk. Kids (13 and under) walk for free. Read More

Naperville Marathon - October 23
As a Charity Partner, we are offering runners a $10 discount off the registration fees, which are $75 for the half marathon and $105 for the marathon. Prices will increase after March 31. As a Charity Hero for Team Laps for Literacy, you are pledging to raise $300 by race day. Read More

New board member, Caly Meyers
|
|
Caly Meyers is the director of recruitment, onboarding, and talent development at Imagination, a marketing agency. She has a PhD in community psychology and is interested in community work. Caly provides mental health therapy part time and works with local nonprofits to develop and evaluate programs. She is an expert in art-based interventions and has been involved in city-wide art projects that support community-building.

District 203 Exemplary Business Partnership Award
Literacy DuPage, Lisle Public Library and the Anne Reid Early Childhood Center received an Exemplary Business Partnership Award from Naperville District 203 on Feb. 9, for providing English language learner support to Ann Reid Early Childhood Center families. The award was given to four local business partners this year for their inspiring and impactful collaboration with District 203. Thank you District 203 for this wonderful honor!
