Why should you attend the Nourish the North Event?
Our "Nourish the North" wine reception and auction event provides an exclusive opportunity for you to demonstrate your philanthropic leadership, and make an impact in Your community. The evening promises to be an unforgettable experience of friends and supporters coming together with a focus on partnering with the Community Foundation.
Part of the evening's entertainment will be Jowi Taylor. Jowi is a proud Canadian who inspires discussion about Canada and our history through his guitar nicknamed "Voyager". Voyager is made from 63 pieces of Canadian history; like a piece of Wayne Gretzky's hockey stick, a piece of a seat from the Montreal Forum, a piece of the cabin of the first Black Cowboy, a piece of a Stanley Cup ring, a piece of Nancy Green's ski, and even a piece of a championship oyster shucking handle.
As Canadians, we tend to put ourselves in a "box" of Tim Hortons donuts, moose and beavers; but as Canadians we have a rich and diverse story to tell. The only way we know that story and history is to sit together as a community young and old, to share those stories. It's about coming together as a community for this unique event to share - let's talk about supporting your community!
