Greetings!
Do you have employees, family members or friends who are 15-24 years old and live, work or go to school in Grande Prairie
Send them the link below to the Vital Youth & Young Adults Grande Prairie survey which is aimed at increasing Gen Y's sense of community, engagement and connection.
The survey (which runs Nov 14 - Dec 14) gathers the opinions and perceptions of 15-24 year olds on quality of life in our city. They can also recommend action priorities for 11 key areas, including employment, education, engagement and health & wellness.
Supporting the Success & Engagement of GP's Young People
Vital Youth & Young Adults Grande Prairie is managed by the Community Foundation, and is being launched for the first time in our community. The project targets 15-24 year olds because community organizations have identified a need for greater insight and information about how this age group experiences the world.
Our research to date is showing there are definite approaches our community can take for the success and engagement of young people. We believe the overall findings of our research combined with the opinions of Grande Prairie's young people are going to fuel a lot of dialogue.
Perceptions and Statistics in One Report
The Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie will release the survey results in a report in early 2013. In addition to collecting data from our youth, the Vital Youth & Young Adults Grande Prairie report will also include statistics gathered from several sources. It will give government, community decision-makers, businesses and organizations a more complete picture of the Generation Y/Millennials - their challenges, priorities and values and the methods of engagement that appeal to them. The report also aims to provide further insight on youth homelessness in our community.
Those completing the survey can enter to win an iPad or gift certificates generously donated by local businesses.
