VEEP  Annual Reporting Site Open

The VEEPonline.org website is now accepting VEEP 2013 reports. Remember, to remain in good standing, all facilities must submit an annual report by April 1. Questions? Contact Keith Boisvert.

VEEP Auditing Requirements Revised

In an effort to assist facilities in moving to E4 level, the Office of Pollution Prevention has revised the auditor requirements to remove the education and audit experience requirements. These reduced auditor requirements are aimed at assisting facilities that may not be seeking ISO-14001 certification but still want a third-party audit to meet the E4 requirements. DEQ is working to compile a list of potential auditors from within VEEP that might be willing to conduct some third-party audits for other VEEP members. If you have Lead Auditor Training and would be willing to audit another VEEP facility for E4, please contact Morgan Goodman. Submitting your name will not commit you to conducting an audit.

New Storm Water Resources for VEEP Facilities

The VEEP website has a new feature on storm water management. By embracing innovations such as storm water BMPs, VEEP members are uniquely positioned to lead by example. DEQ requests that members share their current efforts with the Office of Pollution Prevention; results will be used to enhance the web resource, refine and expand storm water outreach efforts in Virginia, and support similar efforts in Chesapeake Bay Watershed states. If you choose to participate in implementing new BMPs or have a storm water success story, please remember to document it in your VEEP Annual Report.
