Winter Spring Active Guide Available!
FUN Facts!

Did you know?

The world's largest snowflake was reported to be 15 inches across and 8 inches thick. The Guinness Book of World Records states that this giant snowflake was found at Fort Keogh, Montana on January 28, 1887.

Snow is actually clear and colorless.

80% of all the freshwater on earth is frozen as ice or snow.  This accounts for 12% of the earth's surface.

The USA averages 105 snow producing storms per year. A typical storm will have a 2-5 day lifetime and drop snow in multiple states.

2014 Historic Harvest Festival

The Historic Harvest Festival on November 2 was a great success despite very cold temperatures! Thank you to the 550 people, and almost 50 volunteers, who helped to make the event so wonderful! People were able to learn about apple cider pressing, how to make sauerkraut and candles, listen to music, visit with Birds of Prey, see a Civil War cannon, try line dancing, pet the pony and rabbits, and much more!

Centre Region Parks & Recreation

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is operated by the Centre Region Parks & Recreation Authority. The CRPRA, part of the Centre Region COG, serves residents in State College Borough, and the Townships of Patton, Harris, College and Ferguson.

We look forward to an exciting and fun-filled 2015.
