Halloween is here and then it is right into the Holidays. CRPR has plenty of unique and memorable events waiting for you in November and December.

Class Cancellations:  In the event of inclement weather that may cause instructors to cancel classes, participants are asked to call the CRPR Offices before 5 PM, Mon-Fri at 231-3071. After 5 PM and on weekends, please check the CRPR Message Board at www.crpr.org. We update the Message Board daily in case of weather concerns and class cancellations. It's the best way to stay up to date!

CRPR has been offering great Halloween events for 68 years! So grab your favorite ghost or goblin and join the FUN! Check out the events we have in store for you:

  

68th Annual CRPR Halloween Costume Parade 
Sunday, Oct. 26!  Line-up begins at 6:30 PM and  Step-off is PROMPTLY at 7 PM.  The Parade Line Up forms on Burrowes Rd next to the Steam Plant on the PSU Campus.  Costume judging takes place at Memorial Field. (Cash prizes courtesy of the State College Lions Club).

NEW! - Halloween "Carn-e-vil" Visit the Senior Center to join us for some good old fashioned fright in the night. Haunted house for the brave of heart, as well as Bingo with prizes, carnival games for kids under 10 and a candy corn contest, offers fun for all ages. $3/person,
$5/per family. 
  
The Official "2014 Trick or Treat Night" in the Centre Region 
Thursday, October 30, 6-8 PM.  This applies to the Borough of State College and the Townships of College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton

Create a Guardian of the Garden!

 

Sunday November 2

2:30 - 4:00 PM

 

You don't want to miss this fun! Gather friends or family and form a team to compete and build the best scarecrow you can! Gift cards will be awarded to the top three winners, thanks to an event grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation. Pre-register your team for $10 or register at the event for $15. Bring clothing and accessories for your scarecrow - it could be a baseball playing scarecrow, a Disney princess scarecrow, or a scarecrow that looks like DAD! We will provide the straw, string, and bags to make heads. Judges will be on hand and award prizes in three categories. The full details and rules are available HERE.
