FUN Facts!
When thinking of fall, you probably think about cold weather, back-to-school, football, and leaves changing colors... but,
DID YOU KNOW?

The Autumn Equinox is Tuesday, 9/23 - this is a time where day and night are almost equal in length! The term equinox is Latin for "equal night".

Birds prepare for migration - the longest migration belongs to the Arctic Tern at 44,000 miles! This small shorebird flies from its breeding grounds in the Arctic to its wintering grounds in Antarctica!

Centre Region Parks & Recreation

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is operated by the Centre Region Parks & Recreation Authority. The CRPRA, part of the Centre Region COG, services residents in State College Borough, and the townships of Patton, Harris, College, and Ferguson.

Shine a Light: Millbrook Marsh Illuminated

Come and enjoy an evening walk through the Marsh to see the artwork of Ann Tarantino, in cooperation with the Hamer Center for Community Design, as she illuminates the natural features of the Marsh. Ann's art - a combination of light and nature - allows visitors to experience the Marsh in a whole new way.

On display for 2 nights only - don't miss out!

Get there at 7:30 pm to hear Ann discuss her designs. This is a family-friendly event that invites exploration. Bring a flashlight for after dark exploring! A $10 suggested donation per family is appreciated.
