DID YOU KNOW?
 
* There are more than 2,000 species of fireflies.
 
*Firefly light can be yellow, green or orange.
 
*A Firefly's light is the most efficient light in the world!
 

Please remember, if you "catch" fireflies, you can keep them in a jar (with air holes and a moistened paper towel in the bottom) but only for a day or two before you need to set them free.

From a full range of summer camps, programs and events, to taking a leisurely stroll on the boardwalk - there is something for the whole family! Nature Night Campfire - July 19! 

    

Join us at Millbrook Marsh on Saturday, July 19 from 7-10 pm and delight in campfire activities and fun with MMNC Staff! Take time to discover nocturnal sounds and creatures that stir in the night on a Marsh Hike and enjoy campfire stories and activities. Join us as we watch the sun set and enjoy the night life! Registration is required to help us plan, so please pre-register your family!

Puddle Jumpers - Nature Learning for Preschoolers

 

Sign-up now! Early bird registration for fall sessions ends July 31!  

 

Puddle Jumpers opens preschooler's (ages 3-5) imaginations and minds through hands-on nature-based, educational activities. Led by dedicated Nature Center staff, this drop-off program offers 3-hour sessions of nature education including unstructured, imaginative exploration and structured, hands-on experiences. 

 

Each session offers new experiences and activities, so sign up for all three! Puddle Jumpers is the perfect way to supplement your preschooler's experience through nature and learning!

Romantic Moonlight Walk - Thank you!

 

Thanks to all who braved the chilly temps to come out to our Romantic Moonlight Walk last Saturday! Couples walked on "the beach", visited the "Tunnel of Love", sat under "The Kissing Tree", and more. After returning to the barn they enjoyed dancing and watching fireworks at the Spikes Stadium (visible from MMNC). 

 

A special thanks to Woodrings for donating roses for the event!
