Class Cancellations:  In the event of inclement weather that may cause instructors to cancel classes, participants are asked to call the CRPR Offices before 5 PM, Mon-Fri at 231-3071. After 5 PM and on weekends, please check the CRPR Message Boardat www.crpr.org. We update the Message Board daily in case of weather concerns and class cancellations. It's the best way to stay up to date!

 

 

 

 

 


The John Hess Softball Field Complex 
named a "2014 Field of Distinction" 
by the Keystone Athletic Field Managers Organization (KAFMO)
 

 

The John Hess Softball Field Complex, operated by the Centre Region Parks & Recreation Authority in State College, has earned the Keystone Athletic Field Manager's "Field of Distinction" honors for 2014. The award presentation will take place during the 18th Annual Athletic Field Conference by KAFMO and the PA Recreation & Park Society to be held on February 21, 2014, in Grantville, PA.  For more information on this prestigious award, CLICK HERE.

Wednesdays, Feb. 12, Mar. 12, Apr. 9 & May 14
4:30-5:30 PM
Grades 3-5
Fee:  $20R/$30N per participant for all 4!
Is it a bird?  Is it a plane?  Come and find out when you join this kids birding club and learn more while having fun with other young birders! Bring binoculars if you have them, a few pairs are available to borrow.

Join us for a super fun puppet show featuring Adam Swartz and his team of puppets! These popular shows have become a favorite with Millbrook Marsh fans and we're excited to offer another one this Winter. Visitors will gather in the COG Building Forum Room and enjoy a 45 minute puppet show. The stories and themes are for all ages to enjoy, everyone is welcome! See you there!

We Have Swim Lessons 
Year Round!

Summer will be here before you know it - and CRPR swim lessons will help your kids get ready for the pool!  A wide range of swim lesson levels are available, but classes are filling up fast.  The next session starts March 17 & 18 - get signed up today!

2014 Adult Softball Leagues Forming Now!
   

 CRPR is currently looking for teams and individuals for the following Adult Softball Leagues:

  • Men's 35 & Over
  • Men's 45 & Over
  • Women's Slow Pitch
If you are interested please email Jeff Hall, Recreation Supervisor at jhall@crcog.net.  Team Captain's Meeting for Men's Softball league will be held Monday, March 10 at the CRPR Offices at 6 PM.  Team Captain's Meeting  for 35 and 45 and over will be held Sunday, Mar. 16, 2:00 PM at the Pine Grove Mills VFW. Tribute Tree Campaign
The Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority has announced a tree planting campaign aimed at honoring our Nation's Veterans while assisting to further improve the new Regional Parks. The  
MyVeteran/MyHero Tribute Tree Campaign will initially be focused at the new Oak Hall Regional Park, a new and majestic 68-acre park located in the shadow of Mount Nittany near Boalsburg PA,

CRPR is currently seeking Food and Snack Vendors for the 2014 summer season. Services are need for the John Hess Softball Complex, and Welch and Park Forest Pools!
