Grants & Funding for Schools
Teachers are innovative, creative, resourceful people. Unfortunately, they are most often too busy to secure additional non-district funds for the classroom. Even a one-page online grant application can seem overwhelming: objectives, strategies & outcomes are simple to conceive but near impossible to enter on the computer. Wouldn't it be nice if someone else were able to write it?

As competition for grant dollars becomes tougher, it might be worth your effort to invest time in collaboration with your local agencies and organizations. They may have someone who can complete the online grant for your program. Likely, they will have access to more grant resources, guest speakers and program supplies.

Some online grant applications require a 501c3 nonprofit EIN; others require only your government agency (district) EIN. Regardless, collaboration allows you to make your application more attractive to corporations/foundations, and allows you to make a more sizeable request for funding.
