We would like to thank all those involved with helping us after our house ﬁre. All the prayers and monetary support has helped us so much and we truly appreciate everything. We are ﬁnally in our rental, next week our house will be demolished and we can start the rebuilding process. A church family is truly a blessing!!

The Armor of God Bible Study

led by Cindy Sawyer

Take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day and having done everything,
to stand firm. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the work of God and commit yourself to this 7 week session starting with
the introduction video on
Monday night, September 19th at 6:30 p.m.

Study books are $6.00 each, and as always, coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided. Deadline to sign up is September 4th. Please check the Sunday welcome card if you would like to attend or call the church office at 574.679.4435.

On Wed., Sept. 7th, we will be eating Lunch at the Athens Diner, 161 South Main Street (St. Rd. 19), in Nappanee, In. Reservations for the lunch need to be made with Pat Eller by Sept. 5th.

Emmaus Gathering

The September Gathering will be held on
Friday, Sept. 9th, at New Carlisle UMC,
300 Compton St., New Carlisle.

A Carry-In Supper will be at 6:30, and the Worship service is at 7:30. Please join us for a night of singing and praise.

Christian Book Club

CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB POSTPONED.

Our selection for this month is The Butterfly and the Violin by Kristy Cambron. Come and join in the discussion of this inspirational novel.

Women's Fall Brunch

Saturday, September 17, 9:30 am, Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary. Reservations due by

September 11.

Ladies, this year the Osceola United Methodist Women are hosting the North District's annual United Methodist Women's Fall meeting. Cost for this will be $5.00. There is a sign-up sheet on the credenza for you to sign to let us know how many to prepare for. Please sign your name on the list, put your $5.00 in one of the envelopes provided, put your name on it and give your $5.00 to either Janet Keller or Jane Quist.

Of course, many other churches in the North District will be sending their groups also so we expect a large group. Our speaker for the program will be Margie Miller who will speak on the topic,
