Good day everyone!
I was just writing, how this past week has been much better than last week, then lo and behold, as we went to save the newsletter, we lost it. Somewhere in cyberspace only to be found by the CIA and the FBI. What a bummer! This is starting to be funny! Just funny, but not real funny.
The repairs at China Dine-ah Too are almost complete and it actually made a nice little project for Harry, who just returned from his vacation. The good news is there will be no loss on this insurance claim, just a small out of pocket expense.
Leslie, my daughter from India, and my granddaughter, Devi, just spent the last five days with Teresa and myself out to our camp/home in Palermo. What a joy it has been to have them around! Because I was supposed to be in India, my schedule was fairly clear and I was able to spend a lot of quality time with the two of them. We ate at the Dine-ah frequently and all the girls took turns walking Devi around the dining room. Leslie thought that was just great, getting to eat lunch without having to multitask.
My intent at this point is to still travel to India with them if at all possible. Leslie is waiting for Devi's visa and if we can fly out around the first of the month, we will all be going together. I must be back in Augusta for the annual meeting of Kennebec Savings Bank on February 11th.
My apologies last week for the newsletter not arriving until Friday. The company we use to host and mail the newsletter Constant Contact, has had problems with their server and to our knowledge, they are still experiencing issues. Thus, you may get this newsletter on Thursday, you may get it on Friday - who knows. I keep telling myself this is not a perfect world we live in and that is for sure.
The following picture was posted to my Facebook page and I received over 100 comments and 300 "likes". You have to admit, Devi is simply adorable! Something else that is really nice is that quite a few people, including my daughter, thinks she looks like me. LOL! It's the brown eyes! Don't you just want to hug her? She is currently in Portland with Leslie's Mom Priscilla and her husband Steve. We have been promised a return visit next Saturday for my 60th birthday.

I think I am going to the Dine-ah again tonight for dinner after seeing the picture of this week's Chef's Weekly Feature, chunks of choice prime rib beef in a delicious saute of onions and mushrooms. I can almost smell it...ummm.... How about them Pats for all you Pats fans out there? One more game and then off to the big dance! (Super Bowl) I was hoping for a home playoff game this week but Denver, having a better win-loss record than the Patriots, will be the host. I know exactly where I will be at 3 pm EST this Sunday, we are hosting a small party at camp to cheer on our team.
Remember, there's a lot going on in everyone's lives and no matter what happens, we must all keep the faith.
