Good day to All!
It's finally happening! My daughter Leslie, her husband Abhi and my granddaughter Devi will be arriving in Maine around the first of December. Can't wait to get my arms on that little bugger! Devi will be three and a half months old when I finally lay my eyes on her, in person for the first time.
As I have been talking to people, I have been told over and over again, that this is a perfect age. I'm sure her eyes will be all over me as much as mine will be all over her. I can hear her thinking now "Who the heck is that?" I can't wait for the first hug, but the last hug will be the most difficult. Good news is, that won't occur until January 20th when I depart Goa after a seventeen day visit including the journey from Maine back to Goa with Leslie and Devi. Because of work demands, Abhi will be heading back to India before Leslie and the baby sometime in December.
I am looking forward to their visit so much and also for the return trip and visit once we land in India. Leslie is just in heaven being a Mom and it shows in every photo and is evident in her voice, whenever we chat.
I have no doubt in my mind, that during the 35 hour plane trip back to Goa, Devi and I will have lots of opportunities to bond. I will be in heaven, if I can get her to wrap up in a ball and fall asleep in my lap. I don't think I'll sleep much, but I'll have plenty of time to rest during my visit.

Today the article written by George and Linda Smith appeared in the "What's Happening" guide in the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel. George and Linda are two of the most down to earth people I have ever met and pretty good writers to boot. Thank you George and Linda!
And for your convenience, we are providing the link below so you can enjoy what they had to say about us.
Let's Do Lunch at The China Dine-ah!With our summer tourists headed home, and because we are a destination restaurant/diner, things tend to slow down for us during this time of the year. If we were located in a large city, I'm sure it would be different, but our business model depends on you folks that so graciously travel 20 to 50 miles and beyond to enjoy what we have to offer. We are very well supported by the locals but in a town of 4,000 people, it is very difficult to support a restaurant with 30 full and part time staff members. So if you are inclined to take a ride, stop by and visit us to enjoy some good home cooking. It would definitely be appreciated by all the staff and myself.
Just a "heads up", some changes are in store at the Dine-ah. I am currently working with a consultant to
re-engineer the menu and refresh it just a little. Stay tuned.... Don't be concerned, 90% of the menu items will not change.
Always wishing you the best,
Make it a great day!
