Good day to All! Meet Rowen Glidden from Seattle, Washington. Rowen is the son of Michael Glidden, brother of a Dine-ah regular Tiffany Glidden. Rowen's grandparents are Fred and Bonnie Glidden, also Dine-ah regulars. Rowen visits the China Lakes area every summer to see his grandparents and other family members. He enjoys going to the Seadogs games (with 56 family and friends), lobster, meeting cousins, breakfast at the China Dine-ah, and spending quality time with all of his relatives while here in Maine.
Rowen's "school" is basically daycare, but they do learn some. When he got home to Seattle, WA at 1 am after visiting Maine recently, he still managed to get up that morning to go see his little friends at school and he INSISTED on wearing the China Dine-ah shirt that Aunt Ti Ti (Tiffany Glidden) got him after he had breakfast! You've seen one in China (the country) and now one in Seattle, Washington. Please feel free to send in your photos and let us know where they are taken and we will do our best to get them in the newsletter.
 Rowen Glidden headed back to daycare in Seattle with his China Dine-ah shirt on! The following is a letter we received from a patron and because cancer affects so many of us, we felt compelled to share this with you. Thank you Jan, we all hope that everything works out for your sister and entire family.
Good morning, I wanted to share the POWER of your t-shirts that support your waitress that had breast cancer. My 44 year old sister was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Cancer is not new to our family as my mom recently passed from pancreatic cancer and at the same time she was battling, my dad was diagnosed with a 10 lb tumor on his kidney. Thankfully, my dad's was removed and he is now cancer free and healthy. When one of my very best friends heard about my sister Judi's diagnosis, she came to the China Dine-ah and purchased all of us girls one of your Cancer Sucks! t-shirts. Two weeks ago, my family traveled to Mass General Hospital in Boston to support Judi during her surgery in which she had a double mastectomy/reconstruction all in one. These shirts got us through the day with a very powerful message that many shared. We had nurses, doctors, patients, visitors and employees of the hospital stopping us all day long and just telling us how much they loved our shirts. I even gave one lady that we met in the all day long waiting room, your website so that she could email you to see if you would send her 6 of them for a breast cancer walk she was doing! I have attached a photo of my other sister, myself, my niece and my daughter as we were heading into the waiting area after leaving my sister to go prep for her surgery. Thank you for your promotion, support of your employee and a very powerful message! We have inside seating with air conditioning, ample deck seating and soon to come, picnic tables. The following is a sample of some of our meals.
