Good day to All! Phew! We are not there yet, but we are well on our way! Little over a week and it looks like I will be able to concentrate on some non-building projects that are required to open a restaurant, such as hiring and training. But don't be concerned because two or three of the key positions are already filled. We will be hiring several high school students and others whose applications we are already reviewing. I'm sorry but no more applications please, at least for this season. We still have paving, installation of the security system, installation of the phone system and a water softening unit. The deck tables and chairs should be in Wednesday and this has been a project in and of itself. We have finalized the menu (well, almost!) and we will be accepting food deliveries the later part of next week. We still have curtains to install, painting of some of the doors and installation of shelving in the kitchen area and many more miscellaneous items, too many to mention. And seriously, I can't think of them as I try to get this to press and out to you readers. I'm running a little late for obvious reasons. This Sunday is Father's Day and it is a day to honor all those Dad's who have done so much for us. We as Dad's wear many hats as do Moms,but we are talking about father's as we approach Father's Day. We are disciplinarians, we are playmates, we are breadwinners, we are decision makers, we are followers.
We are sometimes hated and sometimes loved, but at the end of the day, hopefully we always the best interest at heart of those who depend on us and care for us. Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there and I trust you can look in the mirror and say to yourself "I've given it my best".
Please tell your family when they ask you what you want to do to celebrate, I WANT TO GO EAT AT THE CHINA DINE-AH on my special day! See you there!
