Good day!

I forgot to mention last week that during our 5th anniversary, we received a beautiful orchid plant from Toddy, a regular and a family member of the Dine-ah. We also received a very nice floral arrangement from PFG NorthCenter our major supplier of food.

I also received a "do it yourself" Norm's Bucket List complete with a scroll of paper and Norm's All Purpose Bucket from regulars Bob and Linda,  also part of the Dine-ah family. These random acts of kindness are very much appreciated. In case you can't read the scroll, item #1 is the China Dine-ah with an "X" indicating project complete. Item #2 says China Dine-ah Too without the "X" indicating it has yet to be completed. Very cute!

This past week, I received an email from Michael Clarke telling me that he took a picture of himself at the Great Wall of China with his China Dine-ah shirt on. I asked him if he would be kind enough to send along a picture, and in fact, he did. (See below) He has lived in Camden, Maine for 30 years and was in China for a month celebrating a special birthday!

If any of you have a photo of yourself or anyone for that matter, in a China Dine-ah shirt in an interesting location, please forward it along and we will do our best to include it in an upcoming newsletter.

Follow up on my son Kyle's football game: Cony defeated Brunswick 21-20 to secure the Pine Tree Conference Championship. This Saturday, Cony Rams travel to Fairfield to play a very good, undefeated, 10 - 0 Lawrence team. Game time is at 1 pm and a huge crowd is expected. I have been told if you do not want to wait in ticket lines, you have two options; arrive 1 - 1 1/2 hours prior to game time or check with either school for times on advanced ticket sales. Lawrence beat Cony in the regular season and this proves to be a great match up.

Congratulations to President Barack Obama for his successful re-election bid. Also, thanks to all of you who exercised your right to vote. I would encourage all to stay involved with the issues. We have a lot at stake the next four years with the biggie being our national debt.

It feels like winter out there! I plowed the Dine-ah for the first time this season, with only about an inch or two of snow and slush. At my camp in Palermo, we had a good 2" to 3" before the rain started. I'd be interested to hear from you on how much snow you got in your area.

All the best! If you have some time this Saturday at 1 pm, and want to see some good high school football, join me at the Cony- Lawrence game being held in Fairfield.

Again this year, we will be offering a 20% discount to all Veteran's this Sunday
