Dear FFCC Team Member,
 haiti group

Welcome home Haiti Team #6!!

FFCC Haiti Team #6 is back home in the USA, and Medical Team #7 is now on the job in Haiti and doing great!  Here's a dispatch from last week, right before Team #6 got ready to head home.  It gives you some idea of all the great things this team has accomplished!

Another busy day here in Haiti and everyone is going strong! It has been incredible to see this team unify and truly become a family. The way they take care of one another, encourage one another and love on our Haitian friends is truly wonderful. Young and old alike have been working so hard and doing it with a smile on their face.

We are nearing a key point on the building site where the team has spent the bulk of their time. One last push tomorrow and we should be there. Yhe building would be ready for a roof! You would be amazed at the amount of work this team has done and the great new relationships that have been started (no I didn't mean that Tiffany got married, at least not yet!).

The water filter installations continued today and we are nearly out of filters to install. We have come across a few families that have been given filter kits like ours but were never instructed on how to use them! Buckets, $5, micron filter $70, education priceless.

We take our time to meticulously teach them each step to keep their water safe. We are hoping to find out how many have the kits but don't know how to use them so we can teach them! That is one of several possible tasks for tomorrow.

This afternoon we all piled into vans and went to Carrefour to visit Mama Esther's orphanage. There were about 30-40 kids there and we brought toys to play with. We had frisbees, jump ropes, coloring books, etc. What a joy! So many hearts were touched by these kids. Moms and dads, expect to hear a lot about this visit. Your kids were incredible and loved on these kids in a big way. Lots of tears but lots of hope too!

Phil has been trying to get a container of food out of the port this week but is running into some issues. Please pray they release it as this food is very much needed and we would like to get it distributed (another possibility for tomorrow).

The medical clinic is set up in Carrefour ready for the next team arriving on Sunday. I will have some pictures to send out with the updates next week.

Saturday we pack to leave and will have a celebration of an unknown nature (typical Phil!). We pack up at 5am on Sunday to head for the airport.

Please continue to pray for the Medical Team as they establish their clinic in Carrefour and begin treating patients this week!
