Dear   ,
 sal army soup

O come all ye faithful--oh how you did! What a great turnout we had downtown at the Salvation Army this past Monday! Such a great night to kick off our holiday season! A special thank-you to the youth choir from The Church at Rancho Bernardo and the PFC String Band. They blessed our guests with wonderful Christmas carols and songs of the season! Katelyn Castro and her photography team from Poway High School partnered with Santa Clause to provide fun holiday portraits. And your donations of warm coats, blankets, and hygiene kits were the perfect gifts for our homeless guests. The spirit of giving is alive and well here in San Diego!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

 christmas morningThank You!

We have a caring group involved with FFCC!  Thank you everyone for your efforts in our local Thanksgiving food drive for 370 families in need!  Check the website to see some of the many supporters and volunteers that assisted in this project that impacted so many. Here are a few comments of gratification from our recipient families:

* "Thank you so much for the groceries you have given me.  You are all a blessing in disguise.  I will never forget this day."
* "We were all so happy when we saw all of the food.  It was so much!  We appreciate all the things you did for us."
* "You really made our Thanksgiving night with that turkey and dinner.  Thank you from us that need help over the holidays."

It is not too late to help with holiday giving.  If you are interested and able to shop by or before December 14, please contact Becky at bpalenske@san.rr.com .
We can also use gift cards to Wal-mart, Target, and gas gift cards for families in need. Contact Becky to find out how to turn them in to FFCC.

Know a Notary?

Many of the documents that must be processed for our FFCC Teams to travel to Tanzania and Haiti require the use of a Notary Public.  We have relied in the past on a single notary who has graciously donated all her services to FFCC, but as the number of trips expand we will need a additional notaries we can call upon when needed.  If you can help or know of someone who can, please contact Phil at philffcc@san.rr.com .
