Momentum is building!

We are now at over 500 sign-ups for our November 6th Food Packaging Event at Del Norte High School in 4S Ranch! Hurry and log onto our FFCC Registration Site to reserve a time slot for yourself, your family, and your friends!

Remember that we will be collecting items for our Thanksgiving Baskets at the event. You can find a list of what you can bring to help right here. We will be delivering over 250 baskets after the event and will need help with basket assembly and delivery. We also need a couple of volunteers to help us with overall administration of the food distribution. If you can help, please contact Phil at philffcc@san.rr.com .

Brighten a Box!

Ever wanted to send a personal message to the folks receiving the meals you're packaging? Now you can! After your shift at the November 6th or November 28th Food Packaging Event, take a few moments to help sign and decorate boxes. Your kids will have fun doing this with you, and the children in Tanzania and Haiti will be encouraged by your words.

Look for the decorated box display near the registration booth. An FFCC volunteer there can answer your questions about decorating and will get you started on some writing and artwork of your very own! .

Join FFCC in Haiti!

FFCC is planning it's sixth trip to Haiti over Spring Break, 2011. It will be from April 2nd to April 10th. Save the date and plan on attending an informational meeting on November 2nd at 6:30pm. All are invited to travel with the team and we are especially encouraging high school students to consider joining us on this trip.

Shoe Boxes for Christmas!

We are up to 60 kids that have been adopted for Christmas in Haiti! Our goal is to provide Christmas Shoe Boxes for 2,000 homeless children in the city of Gressier. These children lost their parents in the January earthquake and will be experiencing their first Christmas without family.

You can partner with us by donating $10.00 for every child you would like to support. Your $10.00 will go towards purchasing a shoe box filled with clothing items, a toy, hygiene items, and a huge Christmas party where the kids will receive their gifts. FFCC will purchase these items in Haiti to help build back their economy.

Consider sharing this opportunity with your school, neighbors, clubs, and family members. You can make your tax-deductible donation via Pay Pal or mail your check to:

Join Us for Homeless Outreach!

Join us this Monday night, October 4th, at the Downtown San Diego Salvation Army for our homeless outreach! Bring donations of bottled water to hand out, along with blankets, men's jackets, and pants to give to our homeless guests. Be the difference in someone's life right here in our community!
